Hajj

Hajj is known as the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca that is the holiest city for Muslims. It is considered to be the mandatory religious duty for Muslims. It is an important part of Hajj because pilgrims will spend the time of afternoon on the ninth day of Dhul Hajj at this place. The Day of Arafat is the Islamic holiday that normally falls on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic Calendar. It marks to be the second day of the Hajj pilgrimage. The day after this day is the first day for the Eid ul Adha.

Ayat 1

They have to move in the direction of the plain of Arafat on the 9th day after praying Fajr at Mina. Ihram is the first step where the pilgrim sets Niyyah (intention) of Hajj or the Umrah and recites Talbiya before Meqat. You have to take a bath all with the intention of Ihram and then wear Ihram sheets. You will be going to offer two Rakat of Nafal by covering your head. All through the headcover declare your intention.

Ayat 2

You will enter Masjid Al Haram and then recite Darud e Sharif and Supplicate to ALLAH and proceed in the direction of the Kabah. In the prohibitions of Ihram, you will be cutting Nails and do the hair cutting or even removing extra hair from any part of the body. You should be covering your head and face and should not be putting yourself in any kind of the sexual activity.

Umrah

Both Umrah and Hajj are considered to be the Islamic pilgrimages as the main difference is their level of importance and the method of observance. Hajj is one of the main five pillars of the Islam and it is compulsory to perform at least one time in life for a rich person.  It is mentioned to be as obligatory for every Muslim once in their lifetime, as it is provided they are physically fit and financially capable. Hajj is performed just once in a year and Umrah can be performed at any time.
